Sandalwood is one of the most noble and expensive woods used in perfumery.
The tree reaches maturity and gives the precious perfumed essence after about three hundred years from birth.
It was discovered in 1840, but its use is ancestral. In the Pacific Ocean Islands, Sandalwood was first pulverized by passing it over shark skin, then mixed with coconut oil and finally sprinkled on the body and hair as a cover.
